The inclusion of four distinct plant butters is the signature feature for delivering intense occlusion and barrier repair. Shea Butter (3%) is rich in triterpenes and fatty acids, making it a powerful emollient that seals in moisture. Kokum Butter (2%) is highly praised for being non-comedogenic and aiding skin regeneration. Murumuru (2%) and Cocoa (2%) Butters further enhance the product's thick texture and occlusive properties. This combination is highly effective at preventing Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL) and restoring the skin's lipid barrier.
The Cica Leaf Extract (9%) and Aloe Vera Leaf Extract (8.5%) are the core components for calming irritation and sensitivity. Cica (or Centella Asiatica) is rich in triterpenoids like Madecassoside, known for its robust anti-inflammatory action that helps soothe compromised skin and accelerate wound healing. Aloe Vera provides instant hydration and cooling relief. The high concentration of these extracts ensures the product is therapeutic for reactive, dry, or stressed skin.
The formula contains a massive 26.5% blend of moisturizing oils, reinforcing the barrier-repair focus. Macadamia (3%) and Avocado (3%) Oils are notable as they are rich in oleic acid and palmitoleic acid (an Omega-7), which closely mimic the fatty acid profile of human sebum, allowing them to integrate effectively into the skin barrier. Olive (3%), Camellia (3%), and Sweet Almond (2%) provide a rich source of essential fatty acids and Vitamin E, supporting long-lasting softness and suppleness.
The base is composed of two primary hydrosols, Rose (14.2%) and Vetiver (12%), which provide initial hydration and a conditioning layer. Rose Hydrosol balances pH and tones the skin, while Vetiver Hydrosol offers a cooling and grounding effect. This aqueous foundation is further enhanced by extracts like Reishi Mushroom (7%), which contains beta-glucans, natural compounds known for their ability to draw and hold moisture (humectant properties), preventing surface dryness
The oil blend is augmented with specialty ingredients for targeted benefits. Argan (2%) and Marula (2%) Oils are rich in antioxidants, contributing to the product's ability to provide a youthful glow by fighting oxidative stress. Jojoba Seed Oil (1.5%) is structurally similar to skin sebum, helping to balance oil production.
